What was it like when you were trying to get a car loan or a house loan? What did you do?

 “It’s virtually impossible when you first arrive to get a loan if you don’t have a job. So you need to go and get yourself a job which you’ve been in for 3 months before you can go and get a loan for anything.

Now if you want a loan for a house, you need um……..if you are gonna go through the banks, you need all various different deposits and so on and so forth. We found that um it was impossible. We went into the, well my husband made an appointment at the bank and um he went in to see the young 20 something year old bank manager and she just said”: “I’m sorry I can’t help you.

You have no history, you don’t have a permanent job, you only have your own business, there’s no way we can help you”. “And so Gareth was all decked out in his suit and everything, when he came out, we couldn’t even afford to go have a coffee, we decided no we better go off home um so if you want to go and just go off and get a loan just like that from the bank, that’s not gonna happen. Our car loan came way after our house loan because when we got here we bought old second hand cars which um we bought outright because that way, that wasn’t another expense that we had to pay everything month.

 Breez Finance were able to help us with our loan and it was virtually pain free. You know when they say it’s too good to be true, it is. Well that is the only instance in my entire life where it was too good to be true and it actually was true. And that’s been the same with our subsequent houses that we’ve bought because we’ve gone and bought rental properties. We have 3 rental properties now, we’ve bought them all through Breez Finance and every time it’s been the same story.

Come in, this is our plan and we’ve had help along the way of this is what you should do, or maybe you shouldn’t do this, you should do that which has been very well received, its been good to have that advice because of course we do want, we want to have a good superannuation. We left our superannuation back in Africa, so we need to start all over again and um Breez has been good in helping us to do that.

Of course if you don’t, if you can’t come up with the goods, then your not gonna get the loan, but they were more than happy to help us and especially after you’ve had a track record there’s been no problem”.
