Frances Fernandez

Managing Director

Frances Fernandez, founder and current Managing Director of Breez Finance Corporation commenced her finance career with the largest Australian housing cooperative managers of its time, BH Knowles & Co. in 1996. In less than two years, Ms Fernandez was invited to become Assistant Secretary of the Board of Directors so that she could report directly to the Board on all matters. She represented the Queensland Chapter of housing cooperatives on various industry matters, including government matters.

In 2004 Ms Fernandez started the firm Breez Finance Corporation, a newly formed non-bank lender and housing cooperative manager. Within a short span of time, Ms Fernandez established lending facilities in all states of Australia. Additionally, she obtained an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) for dealing and issuing securities and debentures. AFSL licences are extremely coveted by Australian business as they are so difficult to obtain.

Ms Fernandez’ progressive attitude and foresight has established Breez Finance Corporation as a premier boutique lender in both the sub prime and prime arenas through her housing cooperative and securitisation vehicles.

Ms Fernandez is also the owner of the AussieMac Mortgage Insured Trust, which has been granted a prestigious A1+ rating by Standard and Poors.

In 2006 GOA International Pty Ltd was borne to fulfill a gap between the finance and migration industries.   The Australian financial institutions have taken a very conservative attitude toward providing financial services to migrants and overseas visitors.  Traditionally, this area has been one which housing cooperatives have filled the void because of their broader philosophy to assist the battler.

Frances recognises the vast benefits that Australia receives from its migration population.  She believes that it is this multiculturalism that enriches the lifestyle of all Australians and can even further benefit the country through the skills that migrants offer to the business through trade and commerce, agriculture, manufacture, business skills, social and medical services to name a few.   It is her absolute desire to see migrants properly settled into the community and their skills firmly integrated into the areas of most need.  By doing this, Frances believes that Australia will flourish.
